Sophia Pitruzzello, Essay winner from Bolton School will read her winning Americanism essay on Flag Day
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14th as Flag Day; on August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress. This national holiday is always on June 14 but we will commemorate this holiday on June 10th at the Lodge in the back parking lot. This is an ELK tradition that each and every Lodge commemorates every year since 1907. Watch for more details in the June newsletter
